Ryan Imai

Ryan Imai, CPA, has extensive experience in finance and accounting roles. Ryan most recently served as the VP of Finance and Accounting at Dave since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Controller at Dave from July 2019 to August 2021. Before joining Dave, Ryan was the Controller at Puma Biotechnology, Inc. from August 2016 to July 2019. Ryan also held the position of VP of Accounting at California Pizza Kitchen from July 2015 to August 2016. Ryan has a strong background in financial management, as evidenced by their role as US Controller at Wesco Aircraft Corp from July 2012 to July 2015, where they were responsible for managing an $800 million hardware business and implementing process improvements. Ryan began their career at CNM LLP as a Project Manager from August 2006 to July 2012 and then worked as a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young LLP from August 2003 to August 2006, where they focused on financial statement audits and assurance services.

Ryan Imai, CPA obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the USC Marshall School of Business in 2002. Ryan also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
