Joanna Pitt

Joanna Pitt is an experienced educator and leader in the field of transcendental meditation. Currently serving as the Director at the Transcendental Meditation Center since January 2020, Joanna has also held significant roles at The David Lynch Foundation as a Transcendental Meditation Teacher and Director of Education since June 2011. Previous positions include Residential Advisor at Gould Farm from October 2021 to March 2023, Assistant Program Director at the Center for Wellness and Achievement in Education from 2011 to 2012, and a 5th/6th Grade Boys Teacher at Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment from September 2007 to August 2011. Additional experience includes roles as Children's Learning Center Coordinator at Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency and Educational Specialist at the California Autism Foundation, both in 2006-2007. Joanna holds a Master's Degree in Education from Maharishi International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from American University.
