Rukia Begum

Rukia Begum has extensive experience in the art and design field, currently serving as the Director of Art and Lead Art Teacher at David Ross Education Trust since September 2019. Prior roles include Head Photographer at Islamic Design House from November 2012 to August 2019, where responsibilities involved managing and executing photography shoots and overseeing creative team deadlines. Rukia founded RukiaUllah, a women's wear label, which emphasizes luxury garments influenced by cultural roots in Bangladesh. Additional internships at prestigious fashion houses such as Emilio De la Morena and Alexander McQueen facilitated practical experience in print design. Rukia began their career as a runner at Bold Creative, where engagement with community outreach and merchandise design developed foundational skills. Educational qualifications include a PGCE from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA (Hons) in Surface Design from the University of the Arts London.
