Head Of Sports Enrichment at David Ross Education Trust

Shane Ward has extensive work experience in the field of sports and education. Shane began their career in 2006 as a Lecturer at Lincoln College. Shane then worked as an NGB Development Officer at Lincolnshire Sport, focusing on Rounders, Netball, Badminton, and Volleyball. In 2008, Shane became the Competition Manager at Carres Grammar School, where they served until 2011. Shane then returned to Lincolnshire Sport as an Operations Officer until 2013, when they joined the David Ross Education Trust as the Head of Sports Enrichment. In this role, they developed and executed the strategic vision and plan for sports at the Trust, supported academies in delivering their sports enrichment plans, and managed the Trust's talent program. Additionally, Shane has volunteered at Greenbank Football Club as a Coach and Committee Member, where they have organized teams and introduced numerous boys and girls to football. In 2015, they worked as a team member for Commonwealth Games England during the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa, providing support to athletes and handling various tasks. Most recently, Shane has become an Educational Consultant at Gosport and Fareham MAT starting in 2022.

Shane Ward's education history begins in 1995 when they enrolled at Ancaster High School. Shane completed their secondary education there and graduated in the year 2000. After that, they pursued further studies at Lincoln College UK from 2000 to 2002. Shane obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Sport Science during their time at Lincoln College. Subsequently, Shane attended the University of Lincoln from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Development and Coaching. This degree was the focus of their studies at the university.
