David Taussig

David Taussig has had a diverse and extensive work history. David started their career as a Planner II at the Alameda County Planning Department in 1973. David then moved on to become a Manager at the Alameda County, Dept. of Housing & Community Development from 1975 to 1979. Following that, they worked as a Manager of Housing and Community Development at the Mission Viejo Company from 1979 to 1985. In 1985, they took on the role of Director of Finance at the Gfeller Development Company. In the same year, they also founded David Taussig and Associates, Inc., where they currently serve as President.

David Taussig attended Cornell University from 1967 to 1973, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. David later pursued a Masters in City Planning at the University of California, Berkeley. Their educational background focuses on the fields of Economics and City Planning. Additionally, David obtained certifications from the American Planning Association, becoming an American Institute of Certified Planners member in 1982, and they also acquired a Registered Investment Advisor certification from FNRA.

DTA has also assisted clients in obtaining funds through numerous programs promulgated under the authority of various state and federal agencies. As a result, our clients have been awarded dozens of state and federal grants and loans, as well as proceeds from various Tax Credit Programs. In addition, DTA has prepared hundreds of fiscal impact reports and economic impact analyses related to land development plans and projects, as well as fee justification studies to determine impact fee levels to fund infrastructure and public improvements.
