Philip King

Philip King has extensive experience in the transport and training sectors, currently serving as the Owner of Phil King Consultancy since August 2014, specializing in legal compliance audits, driver CPC training, first aid training, and risk assessments. Prior to this, Philip King has been the Training Manager at David Watson Transport Ltd since January 2000, where responsibilities evolved from lorry driving to managing contracts and leading the training department to provide external training and health and safety oversight. Philip King's career began in 1990 as a lorry driver for various transport companies, focusing on general and hazardous freight movements, after a foundational period in the Royal Air Force's Security Division from 1981 to 1991. Philip King's educational background includes a City & Guilds certification in Street Works Excavation and Reinstatement from the National Construction College in 2010, and earlier education at Stanway Secondary School.
