Deidra Smith

Deidra Smith has a diverse work experience in alumni and family engagement roles. Deidra currently serves as the Director of Alumni and Family Engagement at Davidson College, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Elon University from August 2015 to May 2022, initially as the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement and later promoted to Director of Alumni Engagement in June 2019. From June 2012 to August 2015, Deidra was the Student Organization Manager at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Deidra began their career at The University of Georgia, where they served as the Graduate Assistant for Alumni Association Student Programs from August 2010 to June 2012.

Deidra Smith earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Appalachian State University in 2008. Later, they obtained a Master's degree in Higher Education, specializing in Higher Education Administration, from The University of Georgia in 2012.
