Lauren Stikeleather

Lauren Stikeleather has diverse work experience in the education and language instruction sectors. Lauren is currently the Associate Director of Education Abroad & Away at Davidson College, a position they have held since November 2023. Prior to this, they were the Assistant Director of Education Abroad at Davidson College from October 2021 to November 2023.

Before joining Davidson College, Lauren worked at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as the Coordinator for Faculty-Led Programs from January 2019 to September 2021.

Lauren also has international experience, having worked at Berkeley House Language Center as a University Coordinator from March 2017 to September 2018 and as a Business Skills & Language Instructor from December 2015 to September 2018.

Lauren's earlier roles include being an English as a Foreign Language Instructor at （株）ウエストゲイト from May 2011 to December 2015 and the Global Perspectives Certificate Program Coordinator at North Carolina State University from August 2012 to May 2014.

Additionally, they gained valuable experience as an International Visitor Leadership Program Coordinator Intern at the U.S. Department of State from May 2013 to August 2013. Lauren also worked as a Corporate English Instructor at Idioma Internacional from August 2009 to August 2010.

To begin their career, Lauren worked as a Retail Associate at Dean & Deluca from June 2005 to April 2009.

Lauren Stikeleather's education history includes a Graduate Certificate in Learning, Design, and Technology: Training and Development Concentration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2020-2022), a Master of International Studies in International Program Administration and Non-Profit Management from North Carolina State University (2012-2014), a Cambridge English Language Teaching for Adults Certification from St. Giles International (2009), and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Spanish Language and Literature and Art History from Agnes Scott College (2004-2008). Additionally, they completed a semester abroad in Spanish Language and Literature at Universidad de Guanajuato (2007) and a faculty-led study abroad program in Spanish Language and Literature at Universidad de Oviedo (2005). Lauren also has an upcoming certification as a Gilman Selection Panelist in 2023 from the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program.
