Melanie Slocumb-Francois has a diverse work experience in cybersecurity and information assurance. Melanie started their career as a Database Intern at Scottrade in 2007. In 2008, they joined the US Army Corps of Engineers at EMCO Technologies, where they worked as a Technical Analyst until 2011 and later as an Information Assurance-VMSA until 2014. Melanie then moved on to Integration Innovation, Inc. in 2014, where they worked as an Information Assurance Analyst until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Melanie worked at Gleason Research Associates, Inc. as an Information Assurance Analyst. Currently, they are employed at Davidson Technologies Inc. as a Cybersecurity Assessment Specialist, a position they took up in 2018.
Melanie Slocumb-Francois holds a Master's degree in Information Security and Assurance from Western Governors University, which they completed from 2014 to 2015. Melanie also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Information Technology, from Oakwood University between 2004 and 2008. In addition to their academic achievements, Melanie has obtained several certifications. Specifically, they earned the CHFI (Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator) certification from the EC-Council in May 2015, the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification from the EC-Council in April 2015, and the Security+ certification from CompTIA in April 2010.
