Bill D. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Bill started their career in 2004 as a US Marine in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout their military career, Bill held various roles, including Commandant of the Marine Corps Fellowship at the US Department of State, Commanding Officer of 3d Intelligence Battalion, MAGTF Operational Plans and Policy Officer at US Marine Forces Korea, and Senior Intelligence Analyst for Regional Command Southwest in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Bill also served as a Foreign Area Officer in Africa, posted at the US Embassy in Senegal, and worked as an Intelligence Operations Officer and Aide-de-Camp to II MEF Commanding General. In addition to their military experience, Bill also worked at Davis Defense Group, Inc. as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor, teaching and mentoring USMC officers at the intermediate level.

Bill D. completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International/Global Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, from 1998 to 2002. Bill then pursued an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in French Language from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, between 2010 and 2011. Additionally, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Security Studies (Middle East, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa) from the Naval Postgraduate School, spanning from 2009 to 2011. Later, Bill D. completed a Master of Arts (MA) in Military Operational Art and Science/Studies at the US Marine Corps Command and Staff College, from 2015 to 2016. Finally, they obtained another Master of Arts (MA) degree from the US Marine Corps School of Advanced Warfighting, specializing in Advanced Military and Operational Studies, Planning, and Problem Solving, between 2016 and 2017.
