Toniette Sumpter has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Toniette began their career in 2004 as an Instructor at the United States Marine Corps, where they led daily operations at Savannah State University and implemented improvement programs. Toniette also served as a Transportation Manager, overseeing the receipt and execution of rapid requests for combat units. During this time, Toniette received recognition for their superior performance and leadership.

In 2014, Toniette transitioned to the role of Senior Manager at the United States Marine Corps, where they developed high-performance team members and improved administrative processes. Toniette supervised a large number of direct and indirect reports and achieved high compliance rates for health and record accuracy. Toniette also conducted performance reviews, implemented professional development plans, and effectively communicated across all levels of the organization.

Toniette continued their career in the private sector, working as an Operations Manager at Target from 2020 to 2021, where they were responsible for managing daily operations and improving efficiency. Toniette then served as a Military Outreach Coordinator at Savannah Technical College, where they focused on connecting with and supporting military personnel.
