Carlo Llacar has a diverse range of work experience in the design industry. Carlo started their career as a Print & Digital Art Director at The Designory from 2011 to 2014. Following that, they worked as a Freelance Book Designer at Knock Knock for a brief period in 2014. Carlo then took on the role of Freelance Designer / Art Director at Standard Time, Los Angeles, working with various clients such as CVS, Olloclip, and E. S. KLUFT & Company. Additionally, from 2017 to 2019, Carlo served as a Design Consultant at Research Affiliates, working on human-centered tools and design systems for a financial investment think tank and providing design advisory and consultation services.

Carlo Llacar obtained a BFA in Graphic Design and Fine Art from ArtCenter College of Design from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2004, they attended Long Beach City College, where they earned an Associates degree in Fine-Art, Theater, and Music. In 1998 to 1999, they briefly studied Graphic Design and Fine Art at California State University, Fullerton.
