Michael Sweet, Sr. is an experienced individual who currently serves as an Ambassador for Davis Phinney Foundation and as a State Advocate for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Michael is also the Founder of ParkinsonStrong and the Founder & CEO of YOPD Forums, Org, the largest support and advocacy Parkinson's Disease group on Facebook. In addition to these roles, Michael has been a Motivational Speaker for My Motivations, a State Director for Parkinson's Action Network, and a Supervisor at Tenet Healthcare.

The Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s is unique in the Parkinson’s community. Our mission is to help people living with Parkinson’s to live well today. We provide programs and research that deliver inspiration, information and tools that enable people living with Parkinson’s to take more control in managing their disease and experience a better quality of life. The Davis Phinney Foundation was founded in 2004 by Olympic medal-winner and cycling great, Davis Phinney, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2000 at the age of 40.
