Kathleen L. Ferrell

Kathleen L. Ferrell is a retired partner and current Senior Counsel at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where experience spans over three decades, including more than 20 years as a tax partner from 1997 to 2018. Ferrell specialized in transaction-related structuring and advice related to mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, bankruptcy/insolvency restructuring, and various corporate finance transactions. Prior to this role, Ferrell served as an Attorney Advisor and Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Tax Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 1987 to 1990 and held an associate position at Davis Polk from 1982 to 1986. Kathleen L. Ferrell holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a BA, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina.
