James Vlasic is an accomplished legal professional with over forty years of experience in business and trust litigation, as well as business organizations. Currently serving as Of Counsel at Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC since May 2019, James specializes in cases related to building construction, secured transactions, commercial mortgage foreclosures, business fraud, mergers, and corporate disputes. In addition to legal practice, James is an Adjunct Professor at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, teaching a Business Planning course. As a member and manager of the Vlasic Group, James oversees diversified investment companies and serves as a director of MAV Development Company. Previous roles include attorney positions at Bodman PLC and Sommers Schwartz PC. Academically, James holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Yale University, a Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School, a Master of Laws in Taxation from Wayne State University Law School, and an MBA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
