Space Propulsion Engineer at Dawn Aerospace

Peter van den Berg has had a diverse range of work experiences in the aerospace industry. Peter worked as a Space Propulsion Engineer at Dawn Aerospace, where they were responsible for the design and testing of green bi-propellant rocket engines for in-space applications. Peter also worked as a Graduate Intern at the same company, where they conducted research on cooling techniques for green bi-propellant thrusters for CubeSat applications.

Prior to their time at Dawn Aerospace, Peter had a Manufacturing Engineering Internship at Lockheed Martin, where they focused on developing engineering solutions to increase the production rate of the F35 Lightning II aircraft.

Peter has also been involved with Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering, where they worked on various engineering projects as an Engineer. Peter was part of the Stratos III project as the Technical Manager and Propulsion Engineer, and later worked part-time on the project as a Propulsion Engineer and Secretary. Peter also participated in other projects such as the Stratos II+ propulsion team and the Hybrid propulsion team.

In addition to their industry experience, Peter has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Technische Universiteit Delft. Peter assisted with the Design & Construction and System Design projects, where they guided student groups in designing and constructing aerospace-related systems.

Peter van den Berg's education history is as follows:

Peter van den Berg attended the Krimpenerwaard College from 2006 to 2012, where they completed their Gymnasium studies. Peter obtained an Atheneum diploma from the Krimpenerwaard College.

In 2011, Peter van den Berg briefly attended Utrecht University, specifically the Junior College Utrecht, where they studied Kwantumstructuur van de Materie.

From 2012 to 2016, Peter van den Berg enrolled at the Delft University of Technology and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Aerospace engineering/ Luchtvaart- en ruimtevaarttechniek. Peter obtained a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft and also completed the Propedeuse Aerospace Engineering (P-in-1) certification.

Following their bachelor's degree, Peter van den Berg continued their education at the Delft University of Technology from 2015 to 2016. During this time, they focused on a minor in Spaceflight.

Finally, Peter van den Berg pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Aerospace engineering/ Luchtvaart- en ruimtevaarttechniek at the Delft University of Technology from 2016 to 2020.
