Michael Rimestad

Michael Rimestad has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Michael started their career as a Software Developer at AAU - Universitarium in 2003. Michael later worked at See And Touch - Marbella as a Systems Designer and Software Developer from 2009 to 2013, where they played a significant role in defining and integrating new products.

In 2014, Rimestad joined Trifork as a Software Developer, focusing on iOS app development and learning the Scrum process. Over time, their role evolved into a Lead iOS Developer and Mentor, taking on more project responsibilities and direct client contact. In their final year at Trifork, they became a Team Lead, involved in overall project planning and resource allocation for a team of 5 developers.

From 2018 to 2020, Rimestad worked at Scanomat A/S as a Lead iOS Developer and Agile Coach. Alongside leading iOS development for the TopBrewer App, they introduced and implemented a scrum-based Agile development process and migrated the embedded platform to Linux. Michael also contributed to designing a new Cloud Microservice Architecture and developed various applications, such as an actuator test app in Android Things and a touch-driven UI app using QT and C++.

Currently, Rimestad holds the position of Software Engineering Manager at Dawn Health since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an iOS Tech Lead and MedTech Developer for the company since August 2020.

Michael Rimestad graduated from Aalborg University in 2009 with a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Additionally, in June 2014, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from Trifork.
