Roman G. has extensive work experience in various fields. In 1998, they started as a Retirement Specialist for the State of Georgia, where they performed analysis and eligibility of member accounts and advised members on retirement plans. Roman then became a Retirement Counselor, auditing member accounts and advising on retirement matters. In 2003, they transitioned to the Lumpkin County Board of Education as a Technology Specialist, promoting technology integration in the instructional program. In 2012, they pursued their passion for music as a Mandolin Player for the band BlueBilly Grit, winning the 2012 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition. Roman later worked as a Global Software Product Specialist for PowerSchool Group LLC. In 2014, they became a City Council Member for the City of Dahlonega, responsible for enacting regulations and collecting taxes. Since 2015, they have served as the Chief Technology & Information Officer for Dawson County Schools, providing leadership and implementing technology resources for teaching and learning.
Roman G. received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the University of North Georgia, where they attended from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Instructional Technology at The University of Georgia, completing their studies from 2006 to 2009.
