Gary Cornn has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Gary has worked as a Principal Engineer, IT/Cyber at DAWSON since June 2023. Prior to that, Gary spent a significant portion of their career in the United States Air Force. Gary held the positions of Colonel from June 2013 to March 2023 and Lieutenant Colonel from August 2007 to May 2013. During their time in the Air Force, Gary served as Squadron Commander, 83d Network Operations Squadron, Chief of Air Force Ground Networks, and Deputy Director and Division Chief, Mission Systems, among other roles.

In addition to their military experience, Gary also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Saint Leo University from August 2000 to December 2002, where they taught computer information systems courses. Gary developed curriculum, syllabi, and instructional materials for various courses and received high ratings from their students.

Earlier in their career, Gary worked at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, where they served as a Datacenter Operations Manager and Mainframe Computer Operator. In these roles, they led a team of mainframe operators, ensured smooth datacenter operations, and maintained backups and disaster recovery plans.

Overall, Gary Cornn has a strong background in IT, cyber, leadership, and telecommunications, with experience in both the military and civilian sectors.

Gary Cornn has a diverse education history with multiple degrees and certifications. Gary began their education journey in 1987 at Florida Atlantic University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Gary completed their undergraduate studies in 1990.

In 1998, Gary enrolled at the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering. Gary successfully completed their graduate studies in 2000.

To further enhance their knowledge and expertise, Gary attended the USAF Air Command and Staff College in 2004. Here, they pursued a Master's degree in Military Operational Art and Sciences, which they completed the following year in 2005.

Currently, Gary is in the process of obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Liberty University. Gary began their doctoral studies in 2016 and is still actively pursuing their degree.

In addition to their formal degrees, Gary has also obtained various certifications. In July 2023, they became certified in Agile Project Leadership through LinkedIn. In the same month, they also obtained the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA. Furthermore, in August 2022, they obtained the certification in Social and Behavioral Researchers from the CITI Program.
