Hannah Patel's work experience begins in 2015 when they worked as a Teaching Assistant at The George Washington University, leading discussions and assisting with curriculum development. In 2016, they served as a Research Assistant and Lab Technician, conducting research alongside a Ph.D. scholar.

In 2017, Hannah joined HDR as an Environmental Scientist, where they worked on the compliance team for the construction of high-voltage transmission lines in Wyoming. Hannah was responsible for writing variances for environmental restrictions encountered during construction and supported endangered species surveys in the field.

In 2019, they moved on to DAWSON as an Environmental Scientist and Deputy Project Manager. Their work primarily focused on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), where they acted as a deputy project manager for five different Environmental Assessments (EA) in the Conservation and Planning group.

Hannah Patel completed their Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from The George Washington University between 2014 and 2018. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications. In June 2017, they received a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification from 360training. In July 2021, they obtained an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross. Lastly, in May 2023, they obtained a HAZWOPER 8-Hour Refresher certification from the University of South Florida.
