Jason Shiflet, PhD, PG has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jason is currently the Director, Environmental Business Line at DAWSON since August 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Restoration Sr. Program Manager from March 2020 to August 2023, and as the Director of Operations, MRS/ECRS Division from August 2010 to March 2020 at the same company. Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Project Manager from September 2006 to August 2010, a Project Manager from May 2004 to September 2006, and a Project Geologist / Site Manager from August 1998 to May 2004, all at DAWSON.
In addition to their roles at DAWSON, they also worked as a Lecturer at UNC Charlotte from January 2007 to May 2007. Prior to their employment at DAWSON, they were a Research Assistant during their graduate school years and provided laboratory analyses support to UGA professors as part of their role from January 1997 to July 1998 while being self-employed.
Jason Shiflet, PhD, PG has an extensive education history in the field of geology and hydrogeology. Jason obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Geology and Hydrogeology from Clemson University in 1995. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Geology and Clay Mineralogy from The University of Georgia, completing it in 1999. Jason's educational journey culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in INES - Geochemistry/Hydrogeology/Modeling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016. Additionally, they have obtained several professional certifications as a Geologist, including certifications from the Virginia Board for Professional Soil Scientists, Wetland Professionals, and Geologists, the North Carolina Board for Licensing of Geologist, the Florida Board of Professional Geologist, the Georgia Board of Geologist, and the Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Geologists.
