Marcus McKinney, D.Min, LPC has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Marcus is currently serving as a Psychotherapist and Director at Academy for Community Health in Day Kimball Healthcare since July 2019. Prior to that, they worked at UConn Health as an Assistant Professor starting from January 1993. From October 2010 to July 2018, they served as the Regional Vice President and Chief Health Equity Officer at Trinity Health of New England. Before that, they held various roles at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, including Vice President of Community Health, Director of Curtis D. Robinson Center, and Director of Pastoral Counseling & Community Outreach from August 1984 to June 2018. Marcus also had an Advanced Residency at Hartford Hospital from January 1983 to January 1984 and a CPE Residency at Connecticut Valley Hospital from January 1982 to January 1983 under the supervision of Dr. Dori Laub.

Marcus McKinney, D.Min, LPC, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law/Political Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in the years 1974-1978. Marcus then pursued a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, completing it between 1979 and 1982. Later, in the years 1988-1990, they attended Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School to earn their Doctor of Ministry degree, focusing on Psychology and Clinical Studies. In addition to their academic qualifications, Marcus McKinney also obtained a certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor [Supervisor] from the State of Connecticut in November 2003.
