Day of Shecurity

Day of Shecurity is an organization that initiatied by humans coming together under the principal of creating positive disruption to create powerful change. The need for more gender diversity in tech and more women and nonbinary people in cybersecurity has been around through years via a number of organizations that have brought awareness to these issues within our industry. We realized as a community that through the power of diversity, inclusivity, love, compassion, empathy, allyship and mentorship we can create positive disruption and create powerful change. Day of Shecurity (DOS for short) recognizes that "We need more gender diversity in the security space". Only 24% of the information security workforce is represented by women. Now more than ever is the time to change the status quo by advocating more women and nonbinary people to consider cybersecurity as a possible career path. Day of Shecurity was the FIRST organization to create, brand, market, and deliver a hands-on conference providing educational and career talks for women to explore a professional career in the cybersecurity & information security industry.
