Lazar Dimitrov

Lazar Dimitrov is the VP of Business Development at Day One Biopharmaceuticals. Lazar has over 10 years of experience in the life sciences industry.

Lazar started their career as an Associate at Clarus Ventures in January 2015. Lazar was promoted to Principal in January 2018 and played an integral role in The Blackstone Group's acquisition of Clarus Ventures in November 2018. As a Principal at The Blackstone Group, Lazar was responsible for leading due diligence on potential investments and served on the boards of several portfolio companies.

In January 2018, Lazar joined Day One Biopharmaceuticals as the VP of Business Development. In this role, they are responsible for identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, negotiating and executing transactions, and leading business development initiatives.

Lazar Dimitrov earned their Ph.D. in Genome Sciences from the University of Washington, their A.B. in Economics and Mathematics from Dartmouth College, and their International Baccalaureate from Lester B. Pearson College. Lazar also attended Mathematics High School in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
