Matthew Turner

Matthew Turner has worked as a Research Scientist, Molecular Assay Development at Day Zero Diagnostics, Inc starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they were a NIH Research Fellow and Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Florida from July 2015 to September 2021. Matthew also has experience as a Science Educator at the Maryland Science Center from September 2014 to June 2015, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Hofstra University from January 2013 to May 2014.

Matthew Turner received their High School Diploma from Dulaney High School in the years 2006 to 2010. Matthew then attended Hofstra University from 2010 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a focus on General Biology. Afterward, they pursued further education at the University of Florida from 2015 to 2021, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology.
