Geoff Bakken

Geoff Bakken, Ph.D., serves as the Lead UX Researcher at Dayforce since January 2022, following a tenure at Arity as Associate Manager of Design Research and Senior Design Researcher, where mixed methods UX research was conducted to enhance product usability. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Performance Analyst at the City of Chicago Inspector General's Office, focusing on operational evaluations within the police department, and Senior Survey Analyst at Civis Analytics, where large-scale survey projects were managed. Additionally, Geoff worked as a Consulting Associate at IRI Consulting, executing custom research for consumer goods companies. Academia includes a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with dissertation research on the Tea Party movement, along with teaching and research assistant roles. Early career experiences include internships and research positions at notable institutions, such as The Boston Consulting Group and Cornell University.
