Rebecca Mehalek

Rebecca Mehalek is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Daymark Recovery Services since August 2021, where quality mental health care is provided utilizing Mindfulness Based CBT, DBT, and Expressive Arts Therapy in the Wilkesboro, North Carolina area. Prior experience includes roles as an Independent Childcare Provider for the King/Brooks Family and the Staley Family, Head Teacher at Footprints Montessori Learning Center, and Assistant Preschool Teacher at both Asheville Montessori School and George School Children's Center. Rebecca also served as a Therapeutic Staff Support at Benjamin Franklin Elementary, a Direct Support Professional at Devereux, and had previous positions including Lead Instructor at Pacific Quest and Wilderness Therapy Head Instructor at RedCliff Ascent. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Environmental Studies from Eckerd College.
