Marcella Ellis

Marcella Ellis is an experienced educator with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Teacher at Daystar Academy since August 2018, Marcella teaches Language & Literature for grades six to eight, along with an IB Design course. Prior experience includes teaching various subjects at Namaste Charter School from 2007 to 2018 and serving as a Clinical Instructor for the Urban Teacher Education Program at the University of Chicago from 2012 to 2018. Early career roles involved program coordination at Texas A&M University and as Program Director at the Women's Museum of California, where responsibilities included volunteer management and program coordination. Marcella holds a BIL/ESL Endorsement from the University of Chicago, a Master of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University.
