Daystar Life Center is a 501(c)3 community-based non-profit organization in Pinellas County, Florida. Daystar builds safety nets for those at high risk of becoming homeless through wrap around client-centered services that offer the possibility of both immediate, and long term solutions for each client. 12.2% of the population in Pinellas County is food insecure and are at high risk of becoming homeless if an emergency were to arise. Minorities account for the largest percentage of those living in poverty, with 32% of children who are unsure of their next meal being children of color.
