Craig Forbes is a highly experienced professional with a diverse range of roles throughout their career. Craig started their career in 1983 with the United States Air Force, where they served as a Captain and was responsible for developing and producing secure communications equipment. During their time with the Air Force, they were recognized for their technical and leadership contributions. From 1984 to 1988, Forbes worked for the National Security Agency as a System Engineer and Design Engineer Manager.
In 1988, Forbes joined NET FEDERAL, INC, a rapidly growing startup subsidiary of N.E.T, where they held various roles as a Systems Engineer until 1995. Craig then moved on to NETWORK EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGIES INC, where they worked from 1996 to 2002. In this company, they held several positions, including Director of Product Management, Vice President and General Manager, and Vice President of Marketing. Craig was responsible for revitalization and strategic redirection of the company, as well as product management and marketing.
From 2002 to 2005, Forbes worked as the VP of Strategic Initiatives at net.com, where they drove new business and sales opportunities and led initiatives within the Broadband Services Forum.
In 2005, Forbes joined Mariners Community Church as the Executive, Small Groups, and Youth Pastor. During their time there, they were responsible for incorporating executive management principles into local church leadership, overseeing facilities management, and leading staff strategic planning.
In 2011, Forbes took on two roles simultaneously. Craig became the Lead Pastor at Harbor Communities, a position they held until 2022. At the same time, they joined Daystrom Technology Group as the Operations Director and Storage Architect. In this role, they provided leadership and was responsible for supply chain management, manufacturing, and enterprise resource planning system implementation.
Most recently, Forbes started their own construction company, Creag Construction, in 2016, where they serve as the Owner.
Throughout their career, Forbes has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a diverse skill set across various industries.
Craig Forbes has a Master of Arts and a Master's degree in Leadership and Discipleship, which they obtained from Trinity Theological from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they pursued graduate-level courses in Computer Science at George Washington University and George Mason University from 1985 to 1989. Craig'sundergraduate education was completed at Bucknell University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Craig Forbes has also obtained certifications as a Red Hat Sales Engineer Specialist in both Platform and Storage, which they acquired from Red Hat in 2015.
