Dayton Society of Natural History
Steve Hess has extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations, particularly in education, customer support, and board governance. Currently, Steve serves on the Board of Trustees for both Crayons to Classrooms and the Dayton Society of Natural History. Previously, Steve was a member of the Board of Directors at the Brunner Literacy Center and held the position of Board Chair for the American Heart Association from 2013 to 2022. Steve's long tenure at LexisNexis from 1987 to 2021 included multiple leadership positions, notably as Chairman of the Board of Directors, where Steve led significant transformations within the company. Early career experiences include positions at Mead Corporation, University of Dayton, AT&T, and a role as a high school mathematics teacher. Steve holds a Master of Science in School Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Dayton.
