Matt Winkler

Matt Winkler is an accomplished data and solutions architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing machine learning and data analytics frameworks. Currently serving as Principal Solutions Architect at dbt Labs since December 2020, Matt has previously held leadership positions such as Solutions Architect Team Lead (Enterprise) and Senior Solutions Architect. Prior to dbt Labs, Matt worked at Slalom as a Solution Architect, where the focus was on developing an ML Ops framework for major U.S. clients. Earlier experience includes managing analytics at Wyzant, leading a team to create machine learning pipelines and aligning data efforts with various business units. Matt’s career began at ORBITZ as a Senior Data Analyst and includes roles at Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., and Epic. Academically, Matt holds a Master of Science in Data Science from DePaul University and dual degrees in Economics, Spanish, and International Business from the University of Oklahoma.
