Katharine Bee, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience. Katharine currently serves as the Senior Director of Medical Services & Communications at DBV Technologies since February 2020. Prior to this, they worked at IMsci from 2014 to 2020, holding various roles including VP, Medical Director, Senior Medical Director, Medical Director, and Senior Scientific Associate. As a Senior Scientific Associate, they were responsible for developing scientific content for educational presentations and written materials related to vaccines for meningococcal disease and HPV. Before joining IMsci, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2012 to 2014, where they studied the molecular epidemiology of human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical neoplasia. Additionally, they investigated the use of viral methylation as a potential biomarker for differentiating oncogenic from non-oncogenic HPV infections. Katharine'stechniques included pyrosequencing, Sanger sequencing, next-gen sequencing, and phylogenetic analyses. Earlier in their career, they were a Senior Scientific Associate at IMsci from 2010 to 2012, where they developed and edited scientific content for educational presentations and written materials related to meningococcal and pneumococcal diseases. Katharine began their career as a Graduate Student at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2002, conducting independent research on the identification and characterization of genetic mutations associated with cardiovascular disease. Katharine'stechniques included molecular cloning, genotyping, Sanger sequencing, and cell culture.

Katharine Bee, PhD, earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Katharine completed their studies at this institution from 2002 to 2010.
