Mélanie Ligouis has a diverse work experience in the research and innovation field. Mélanie started their career as a Senior Research Assistant at DBV Technologies in August 2007 and worked there until December 2015. In January 2016, they returned to DBV Technologies as an Engineer in the Research & Innovation department. In this role, they coordinated the department's activities, organized and planned preclinical protocols, established necessary technical procedures, and led the ethics committee. Mélanie also held the role of Manager, Technicians at DBV Technologies, where they coordinated the research department's activities with the technicians and laboratory assistants. Prior to DBV Technologies, Mélanie worked as a senior technician in R&D at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives from September 2004 to April 2007.

Mélanie Ligouis completed a Bachelor's degree in General Biology at ESTBA from 2002 to 2005. Mélanie then pursued further education at Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a Master's degree in the field of Science, Technology, and Health.
