Marco Pescosolido has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Marco currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at Appian Corporation, where they have been responsible for designing scalable and collaborative processes and automation for engineering teams. Prior to this, they held roles such as Vice President of Software Development and Vice President of Technology Strategy at the same company. Marco also served as Chief Architect at Appian Corporation for over a decade.

In addition to their work at Appian Corporation, Marco founded the DC CTO Club in 2017, a non-profit organization aimed at creating a better environment for technology-intensive companies in the DC Metro Area. Marco served as the President of the club for four years, during which they recruited over 100 members and sponsors and established reciprocity agreements with similar associations.

Earlier in their career, Marco worked as an Advisor at Soundtracker, psHEALTH, and Appian Corporation. Marco also gained experience as a Senior Consultant at Appian Corporation, where they built trading desk software and backend analytical systems. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia and as a Consultant at COSI SRL, where they developed a ticketing system and a web-based news editor.

Marco began their career as a Junior Researcher at CRS4.

Marco Pescosolido's education history includes several notable achievements in the field of Electrical Engineering. From 1995 to 1997, they attended the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, where they focused on Electrical Engineering. Following this, from 1999 to 2012, they pursued their Bachelor's degree at the Politecnico di Milano. During this period, they acquired their Laurea degree in Electrical Engineering. In the pursuit of further academic excellence, Marco attended the University of Virginia from 2000 to 2001 to complete their Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout their educational journey, Marco demonstrated a consistent passion for and dedication to the field of Electrical Engineering.
