Kari Mitchell

Kari Mitchell has extensive experience in library services, currently serving as Assistant Manager at DC Public Library since June 2023 and as Librarian at District of Columbia Public Schools since October 2018. Previous roles include Adult Librarian at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library from August 2013 to August 2018, where responsibilities encompassed collection maintenance, adult programming, reference services, and reader's advisory. Additional experience includes internships and roles such as Reference Intern at Monroe County Public Library, Coder for the Victorian Women Writers Project at Indiana University, and managerial positions at Pier 1 Imports and Macy's. Kari holds a Master of Library Science from Indiana University and multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature and two Bachelor of Arts in History and English from the University of North Dakota.
