Andy Philip

Andy Philip is the group politics editor at the Press and Journal and The Courier at DC Thomson, where they lead a team of multi-media political reporters. They are known for hosting the award-winning weekly podcast, The Stooshie, and serve as co-convener of the Scottish Parliamentary Journalists Association. Previously, Andy held the position of live politics editor at the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail Ltd, overseeing coverage of key political events, and was the deputy political editor for PA Media, reporting from Scotland. Andy holds an MA (Honours) in English from the University of Aberdeen and a postgraduate diploma in Journalism from the Scottish Centre for Journalism Studies.
