Charlie Dear

Charlie Dear is a skilled graphic designer and illustrator with extensive experience in both freelance and in-house settings. Currently employed at DC Thomson since August 2021, Charlie focuses on designing advertisements and promotional materials for print and digital media. A freelance venture as Charlie Dear Illustration began in May 2014, specializing in children's book illustrations and earning a shortlist for the Kelpies Design and Illustration Prize in 2017. Prior roles include graphic designer at Push Print and the University of Aberdeen, where high-quality graphic services were delivered for a diverse clientele. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Design and Communications from Perth College UHI, completed in 2014.
