Alex Walsh

Alex Walsh serves as the Programme Manager for Security Sector Reform at DCAF - Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, providing programmatic and policy support focused on security sector governance and reform since February 2020. Previously, Alex held roles as a Security Sector Reform Officer and as an independent consultant, contributing to research and publications on Middle Eastern and North African security and political affairs. Professional experience includes positions at Siren Associates, Search for Common Ground, Aktis Strategy Ltd, and Smartology.net, with early career roles in research and internships at various organizations. Alex holds a Master of Philosophy in Middle Eastern Studies and a Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge.
