Effie Palacios

Effie Palacios is a Senior Researcher at DCG Communications since February 2021, focusing on research for federal agencies in public diplomacy, public opinion, national security, and veteran's issues in both English and Spanish. Previously, Effie worked as a Research Associate at Penn State University from August 2018 to May 2022, where collaboration with interdisciplinary teams supported urban development initiatives. Effie’s experience also includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Field Research Lead at Penn State, a Content Writer and Grants Intern at Plant With Purpose, and an Immigrant Farmworker Organizer at the Legal Aid Justice Center. Effie holds a Master of Science in Rural Sociology from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature and Global Studies: Security and Justice from the University of Virginia.
