Elisabeth Guitart

Elisabeth Guitart is the current Director of Spain at DCH. Prior to this, they spent 8 years and 11 months with the Merck Group where they held various HR positions including Regional HR Head Europe, HR Country Director, Senior HR Business Partner, and Global HR Business Partner. In their role as Regional HR Head Europe, Elisabeth was responsible for leading HR in the Biopharma Europe region and acted as a strategic partner with business sector leaders to shape business and people strategies. Elisabeth also drove business performance and people initiatives and planned future capabilities while executing change management supporting cultural transformation strategies within the region.

As Head of HR in Merck Spain, Elisabeth oversaw the Healthcare, Life Sciences and Performance Materials businesses. In this role, they were responsible for HR leadership, partnering with Pharma and Chemical businesses in production sites, and integrating the human resources strategy into the business. Elisabeth also supported business in all HR processes and reported into the Global HR organization.

In their role as Corporate HR Manager & HR Business Partner Finance, Organization, IT and Innovation Office at GBfoods, Elisabeth provided consultancy on all performance, organizational, talent and development aspects. Elisabeth also supported, trained and collaborated with Business Leaders on strategic HR partnering at a global level within the Biopharma Merck Group.

Elisabeth Guitart holds a law degree from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and a postgraduate degree in professional practice of law from the Colegio de Abogados de Sabadell. Elisabeth also has a degree in human resources management from the Centro de Estudios Barcelona. Elisabeth is currently pursuing a business and law degree from the ESADE Business & Law School.
