Erich Groos has a diverse work experience in the field of ophthalmology. Erich started their career as a Physician Partner at Cornea Consultants of Nashville in 1999. In 2001, they took on the role of Medical Director at both the Eye Surgery Center of Nashville and DCI Donor Services, Inc, where they oversaw quality assurance, reviewed complications, and managed medical safety and compliance. Erich also served as a Founding Partner at Cornea and Cataract Consultants of Nash. Erich later became the President of the Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology, where they were responsible for overseeing board operations and implementing policies. Prior to these roles, Erich also worked as a Fellow at UC Davis.
Erich Groos received their A.B. in English Literature from Princeton University in 1983. Erich then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where they obtained their MD degree in 1987. Subsequently, from 1988 to 1991, they completed their residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Later, in 1991-1992, Erich Groos pursued a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at the University of California, Davis.
