Harshad Poshtiwala

Harshad Poshtiwala has worked in the software engineering field since 2004. Harshad began their career at Whirlpool Corporation as a Design Engineer (Control Groups) where they designed and developed Micro controller (Motorola 68K series) based prototype systems for Whirlpool appliances. In 2007, they joined Hughes Network Systems as a Member of Technical Staff, where they worked on HughesNet Satellite program and designed and implemented algorithm for Multicast Mesh based communication system for satellite router. Harshad was also a Member of technical staff -3, where they worked on the GLOBALSTAR/MobileSat system as an embedded software engineer and designed and developed Embedded Linux kernel device driver for satellite's pilot tracking and acquisition. Harshad then moved to Motorola Solutions/Zebra Technolgies in 2012 as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, where they worked on iOS and Android compatible Next Generation RFID/Scanner hand-held device. Harshad designed and developed battery management module and USB based firmware download for iOS and Android based handheld RFID/Scanner device. In 2016, they joined DCmobility as a Principal Software Engineer/Manager, where they were the Technical/Project lead for Avionics, Satellite and IoT programs. Harshad was responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, test and delivery of system to customers. Harshad also developed a smart controller to control and monitor Software Defined Radio based 4G LTE communication link between an Aircraft/Jet plane and ground station for continuous in-flight connectivity.

Harshad Poshtiwala obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from South Gujarat University between 1999 and 2003. Harshad then went on to earn a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from NYU Poly in 2006. In 2019, they obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance. In 2021, they obtained a Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certification from the Project Management Institute.
