Vasilios Roussos

Managing Director at DCU FinTech Innovation Center

Vasilios Roussos has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1996 with internships at Merrill Lynch and John Hancock Financial Services. In 1998, they joined Cambridge Associates as a Senior Associate, where they were responsible for supporting and leading the firm's investment recommendations on private equity funds. In 2003, they worked for BR Venture Fund as a Manager and for EMC as an MBA Intern, tasked with supporting the design and roll out of an enterprise knowledge management system. In 2004, they joined Village Ventures as an Associate, managing investments in seed and early-stage start-up companies. In 2008, they Co-Founded PickupZone, now part of FedEx, with the goal of providing a more effective service for consumers and online retailers while also driving traffic and greater engagement to local retailers. From 2013 onwards, they have been an Advisor and Board Member for various startups. In 2016, they became Managing Director of DCU FinTech Innovation Center, where they lead New England's largest seed-stage FinTech accelerator, and also took on the role of Innovation Centers Head at Workbar.

Vasilios Roussos received their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, with a focus on Operations & Entrepreneurship/Venture Capital. Vasilios also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Brandeis University. Additionally, they attended College Year in Athens.
