Oscar Soto Rivera

Embedded Software Engineer at DDC-I

Oscar Soto Rivera has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of embedded software engineering, optimization of circuit designs, and research assistance. Oscar started their career as a Lecturer tutor at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, where they worked with students on digital systems design. Oscar then worked as a Laboratory Assistant, where they set up and optimized equipment for the Microscopy Laboratory. Additionally, they served as a Research Assistant in the Bioengineering Laboratory, where they contributed to the conception of an electrical impedance tomography system. Oscar also gained experience as a Research Assistant in the Integrated Circuit Design Laboratory, where they worked on multi-FPGA networks for neural model simulation. Oscar further expanded their skills as an Intern student at the Technical University Munich, focusing on optimizing circuit designs for a portable nanoparticle detection device. Most recently, Oscar has held roles as an Embedded Software Engineer, working on kernel verification for real-time operating systems at Avionyx and as an External Contractor. Oscar also worked as a Software Engineer at Teradyne. Throughout their career, Oscar has demonstrated a strong technical background and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Oscar Soto Rivera completed a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Tecnológico de Costa Rica. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Neuroengineering from the Technical University of Munich, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2023.
