Brian Deforest

Brian DeForest is a seasoned software management professional with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Sr. Software Manager at DDN Storage since 2023, Brian has previously held similar roles at Western Digital, Quantum, ONStor, and Sun Microsystems, focusing on scalable cloud storage systems, backup appliances, and clustered NAS solutions. Earlier in the career, Brian held the position of Director of Engineering at NetConvergence and also contributed as a Software Manager at NetManage, developing NFS for Windows, and as a Sr. Software Engineer at Stratus Computer, specializing in fault-tolerant Unix systems. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Canisius University.
