Sertac Yakin

Sertac Yakin has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sertac has been involved in multiple start-ups since 2011, serving as a CGO, CMO, Head of Data, Product, Investor Relations, and as a partner, co-founder, and advisor. Some of the start-ups they have been involved with include Koding, Connected2me, Kieran Prior, 3EEOS, Interesting Engineering, Debite, FineDine Menu, Rakam, Ango, and more.

In 2022, Sertac co-founded Ddosify. Since 2018, he has been helping portfolio companies as a Growth Expert and Mentor at 500 Istanbul & Emerging Europe. During this role, he was involved in growth, finance, product, marketing, investor relations, and fund-raising tasks, and had the opportunity to work with numerous successful start-ups globally.

Between 2014 and 2016, Sertac worked with Connected2.me & Wondr for growth, he was also an seed and early-stage investor. Sertac also contributed to the growth and investment efforts of Interesting Engineering from 2016 onwards.

Sertac worked as a Partner at Growth That Works in 2017, gave lectures on startups at MIT and Berkeley.

Since 2012, he has served as the Global Growth & Expansion Strategy Officer and Investor Relations & Finance Officer at 3E EOS, Inc., a defence technology unicorn startup focusing on innovative vision, and aerospace technologies.

Sertac also worked at Qualified.io during 2017 and 2017, contributing to growth, lead generation, and marketing strategies. An HR tech startup company located in San Francisco, later acquired by Andela.

Sertac also served as an advisor to two other startups, Rakam and Ango,ai, which were acquired by LiveRamp and iMerit, respectively.

Additionally, Sertac has experience as a Research Assistant at Tilburg University in 2008 and 2009.

Sertac Yakin's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Bilkent University, which was completed from 2004 to 2009. In 2008, Sertac also attended Nazareth University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Organizational Leadership for one year. Furthermore, Sertac pursued further studies at Tilburg University, where they completed a Minor in Social and Behavioral Science from 2009 to 2010.
