Gerle Ykema

Gerle Ykema has extensive experience in child and youth psychology and development, currently serving as a Psycholoog at de Bascule, an academic center for specialized child and youth psychiatry since April 2016. Gerle's work involves addressing psychological and psychiatric issues in individuals aged 3 to 23 and includes collaboration with Spirit's InVerbinding team using the JIM method. Additionally, Gerle has been a Trainer at Rots en Water Nederland since 2010, focusing on multi-family training to enhance socio-emotional resilience systematically. Previous roles include providing guidance to students in need of extra support at Samenwerkingsverband VO Kop van Noord Holland and teaching psychology as a guest lecturer at Horizon College. Gerle's educational background includes a Master of Science in Child and Youth Psychology and training as a systemic therapist.
