Welmoed Willemsen

Welmoed Willemsen is an associate lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, having started this role in August 2023. Prior to this position, Welmoed gained extensive legal experience at NewGround Law from September 2020 to July 2023, where roles included advocaat, juridisch medewerker, and werkstudent bestuursrecht. Earlier experience also includes a brief internship at AKD N.V. within the area of bestuursrecht in September 2019, and serving as a juridisch adviseur at Vereniging Rechtswinkel Utrecht from January 2018 to January 2019. Academically, Welmoed holds a Master’s degree in Staats- en bestuursrecht from Utrecht University (2020-2021) and participated as an Erasmus exchange student at Uppsala University in 2020. A Bachelor's degree in Utrecht Law College was earned at Utrecht University from 2016 to 2020, complemented by earlier education at KSG De Breul, completing atheneum from 2010 to 2016.
