Coen van de Ven

Political Journalist at De Groene Amsterdammer

Coen van de Ven is a political and investigative journalist currently working at De Groene Amsterdammer since September 2017, where Coen also founded the research group Data & Debat, exploring the impact of technology on public debate and thought. As an independent journalist since 2013, Coen has contributed to numerous reputable publications, including Al Jazeera and De Volkskrant. Previous roles include Director of The Caravan's Journal and Guest Lecturer at Hogeschool Utrecht. Coen holds a Master of Science in International Political Theory from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
